Yes, with a Holtkamper, in most cases the awning and front canopy can simply remain attached to the folding trailer while it’s being folded up. That’s one of the practical advantages of the Holtkamper concept.
So you don’t have to completely take the tent sections apart and store them separately every time. That saves time both when setting up and taking it down, and makes camping a lot easier.
It is important, however, that the awning and front canopy are folded up neatly and correctly. Also, make sure the tent fabric is as dry as possible before storing the Holtkamper for an extended period. Do you have to pack it up while it’s still wet due to bad weather? That’s fine, but be sure to set up the folding trailer again at the first opportunity to let the fabric dry thoroughly.
