During a technical inspection, we check the most important technical components of your Holtkamper so that you can hit the road safely and with peace of mind.
The folding trailer will remain closed during this service. We focus entirely on the undercarriage and the technical condition of the vehicle. As part of this, we inspect the chassis, the clutch, the overrun damper, and the braking system, among other things. Where necessary, parts are cleaned, lubricated, and adjusted.
We also carefully inspect the tires and lights. If your Holtkamper has a kitchen, we’ll include that in the inspection as well.
During a technical inspection, we check the following, among other things:
- the chassis
- the coupling and adjustment
- the surge suppressor
- the braking system
- the tires
- the lighting
- the kitchen, if available
Replacing Tires
Tires must be replaced at least every 6 years for safety reasons, to maintain insurance coverage, and to qualify for a Tempo 100 exemption. For this reason, we recommend replacing your tires after 5 years.
When scheduling your maintenance appointment, you can indicate that you agree to have the tires replaced if we determine that they need to be replaced based on their age or condition. If the inspection reveals that other parts need to be replaced or repaired, we will contact you first to discuss this.
Since the folding trailer remains closed during a technical inspection, the tent fabric and the interior are not checked. Would you like these parts to be inspected as well? In that case, we recommend a major service.
