A Holtkamper can withstand strong winds, but it’s important to use the awning correctly.
Without a front wall:
Is the wind blowing directly against the front, and have you not installed a front wall? If so, remove the side walls first. This allows the wind to escape more easily and reduces the pressure under the awning.
Next, attach the included storm elastic bands to the green loops on the awning. Secure them with the triangular stakes.
Do not use fixed guy lines. These do not give way and can therefore put too much tension on the fabric and the structure. Also, do not use a canopy pole if no front wall has been installed.
With front wall:
With the front wall installed, your Holtkamper is even better protected against strong winds. Be sure to use the awning pole and always secure the storm straps.
