The patented construction of the Holtkamper Astro is a world first: aluminum tubes, polyester sailcloth and a fixed sandwich polyester lid in one tent trailer. As a result, the hardtop weighs only 250 kg, leaving approximately 500 kg load capacity. The Astro is made for adventurous trekking and sets up quickly because the awning and frame fold directly with it, without loose poles.
With ECO cotton canvas and the Membrane Airco Tentsystem, the double roof acts as natural climate control, providing ventilation when warm and insulation when cold, and in Iceland the Astro proved its storm resistance to wind force 10.
