In 2017, Holtkamper was visited by Mr. Flipse, an experienced camper who, after years of caravanning with a diesel car, made the switch to an electric Tesla Model X. This created a new demand: a camping vehicle that was lighter and more aerodynamic, without compromising on comfort. Quality and ease of set-up were at the top of his wish list, and so the first Tesla with Holtkamper became a reality. It turned out to be the beginning of a trend, as many more would follow.
